The long Easter Weekend has its benefits, beside of preparing lecture material and writing up geeky technology articles :-). I love that view with meadows sprinkled with all the Dandelion, and the snow-covered mountains in the back. Back on the left the peaks of the Mythen.

This time we were hiking around the Rothenflue: a wonderful area close by the Grosser Mythen, with stunning views.
Sleepless Night with Föhn
It has been a sleepless night with Föhn wind up to 100 km/h. The compensation for this is a mild temperature of 15°C. Plus that beautiful sunrise this early morning:

The Haggenegg is a summit at 1414 m between Schwyz and Alpthal. The summit played an important role during the “Marchenstreit“: a border conflict starting around the year 1100 between Schwyz and the Einsiedeln Abbey.
Fire & Ice: Winter Sunrise Reflections

It has been a cold night with snowfall mostly in the higher mountains. For a very short time window opened up in the sky for the raising sun:
It created nice reflections the water and ice on the ground: like fire on ice.
The following panorama picture is taken near the same spot as above in the “Sägel” nature preservation area, towards the Mythen peaks in the East:
