During the night we received the first snow for this winter. The sun was breaking through the clouds in the afternoon, and it happened that I was near Brunnen to take of the Wylen chapel with the snow-covered Mythen in the background:

Autumn is showing up at its best, and so far it is really a ‘Golden Autumn’ so far, with temperature above average. The usual ground fog is gone, with beautiful views to the mountains. The pictures below were taken last Saturday:
It happened that my way back home today was passing the same point from this morning (see “Morning Autumn Mirror Lake“), but this time it was right on time for a beautiful sunset:
Halloween is not my thing: it is more like a carnival, and too much commercialized. I more like the day after that one: The All Saints’ Day. A day where we commemorate the ones who have passed from us. Early this Sunday morning I went up to the mountains to get out of the sea of fog and to watch a beautiful sunrise:
