Golden Autumn and Phragmites

Autumn is showing up at its best, and so far it is really a ‘Golden Autumn’ so far, with temperature above average. The usual ground fog is gone, with beautiful views to the mountains. The pictures below were taken last Saturday:

Mythen

The view is over the Lake Lauerz (see “Morning Autumn Mirror Lake“) to the East with the two (actually three) Mythen peaks in the background. The picture is showing in the foreground a special nature preservation area which is covered by Phragmites. To make sure that trees are not taking over, the Phragmites are cut in October/November time frame.

Happy Mythening 🙂
