Sometimes projects need more than a year from start to finish. And this project is even not finished yet. So here is a quick update of the enlarged Split-Flap project for 2025:

The Split-Flap project is something I started back in 2021 and finished a first version with 2×10 flaps in January 2022:

I’m now building now a new version of it:

• 64 split flaps instead of 20
• Single MCU to control all motors instead one MCU for 4 split-flaps
• 52 flaps instead of 40 with extended character set and color flaps
• CNC enclosure (beech wood)

Creating the 3328 flaps is time consuming, and so far I have finished 24 units, so many more to to go:
