We did not receive much snow this winter in the lower areas. I really love this linden tree (Tilia, or ‘lime tree’ in some areas) up above a hill, and it always looks different.
The picture above has been taken from the North side, where the little snow has survived in the shadow. And as with everything, it has two sides. Same tree, same hour, this time from the South side:
To me it is amazing how a different perspective can change things, as always.
It is the last day of the year 2018: thank you all for reading and commenting my articles!
The 2019 is about to start, and I’m planning for some bigger changes and shifts, and I’m very excited about it!
I wish you all the best for 2019,
Happy Lindening 🙂
PS: if you are interested about the location of this tree: Google Maps Link
Happy New Year Erich and good luck with the plans, mine plans always seem to take longer then I would like 😦

Hi Darren,
thank you. And yes, same for me: it usually takes longer too 🙂

What a beautiful tree. I’d love to know where it is exactly, if you could spare a moment, I know it’s a lot to ask out of the blue! I was looking for a good image of a Lime tree to use in a slide show I am making as part of a collaborative art project about trees and the world of branching structures , branching ideas and branching diagrams ….with children at a London Primary school, which happens to be called Lyndhurst (the etymology of which is Lime tree on hill). I hope you wouldn’t mind my showing the pupils your lovely photographs.
