The ridge path linking the Fronalpstock and Klingenstock peak is one of the must stunning high trails in the central part of Switzerland. With views to many lakes and other peaks. With a duration of around 2 hours hiking time, and 400 meters up and down, it is a medium mountain hiking trail.

Happy hiking 🙂
Very nice but popular mountain hike, never did it for that reason. Instead some years ago I stood on the Chaiserstock with a quite similar view. As après hiking the lido Hopfräben at Ingenbohl is my recommendation to make a jump into lake Lucerne.

Yes, it is popular. And the Hopfräben is a beautiful spot too!

Despite my “complaining”: Stoos ridge is popular for very good reasons. Browsed thru your “hiking” entries and must say, that we share similar interests ;-). Dolomites are besides the suisse alps one of my favorite places.
Nice that you share some private aspects.

Your reminds me the trip my wife and I just did in July. We did TMB, after that we traveled in Switzerland, Bern, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen and Lucerne. We took a sightseeing boat trip in lake Lucerne. Switzerland is a beautiful country.

TMB == Tour du Mont Blanc? This is still on my ‘bucket list’…

Yes. We only did mini TMB which is half cycle from Courmayeur to Chamonix in 6 days. Will do bottom half, still from Courmayeur to Chamonix, next year or the year after. Little bit surprise that you have not done that knowing you like wild life and hiking from your previous posts.

I have been more around the eastern part of the Alps recently. Chamonix is such a beautiful area.
