Weather in Switzerland is changing fast and frequently over this long weekend: with hours pouring rain followed by hours of beautiful sunshine.

The traffic jams on the roads to the South are nearly back to ‘normal’. The pandemic is still not over, and traffic pretty much increases every week, with a 14 km traffic jam on the Gotthard to the south. Most of the Alpine summits are still closed because there is still a lot of snow in the upper areas.
I am using the long weekend to prepare for the last weeks of the university semester and to catch up on several work items. But when the weather was getting better, we decided for a hike up to our local and home mountain. In the early morning everything up there was covered with snow, and in the afternoon, it was all gone.

Many of the peaks nearby are still snow covered. I have solid plans which ones to climb up this summer: I will see how it goes, and I plan to share the views if possible :-).
Happy Pentecosting 🙂
