The Völseggspitze (1834 m) is a mountain peak in the Dolomites, South Tyrol/Italy. It takes a day hike around it and that journey is worth taking many pictures.

The hike (18 km) takes about 7 hours without breaks. below the map with the referenced points in the text:
It starts at bus stop in St. Zyprian (1) and then go up the trail #12A.
From the Tschaminschwaige (2) follow trail #4A up to Wuhnleger (3). There is a beautiful like behind it (see “Hiking up to the Tschafonhütte and Völseggspitze“).
The signs of the storm back from October 2018 are visible in many places. Follow trail #4 which has stunning views down to Tiers.
Finally, the Tschafon hut is in reach.
The hut is famous for its salad and garden.
Time to have lunch: Salad, and Knödel with mushrooms :-).
Then down trail #7B (5) and #7 (6) on a beautiful forest trail.
Follow trail #6 to Schönblick (6).
Continue on that trail to Völsegg (7).
Follow trail #4B to the chapel St. Sebastian (8). That small church (“Pestkapelle”, built after a ‘Black Death’/plague) dates back to the year 1635 and is built on top of an older romanesque chapel.
Then on trail #4B and #6 back to the starting point (1).
Happy Völsegging 🙂

Yes, we very much enjoyed it. The hardest part was to sort out the pictures: there were simply too many good ones.

Yes, indeed. If time permits, I want to do that hike at a different time of the year again.
