Lakes are the gems of the Alps. Most lakes have been carved out by glaciers during the last ice age, around 10’000 years ago. Their beauty depends on the view-point, angle and position of the sun during the day. So here is a view collection of wonderful lakes from this week:
Seebensee
Drachensee
Heitwangersee
Blindsee
Eibsee
Happy Laking 🙂

Well, it seems that this year there was no summer at all, lots of rain. And yes, even in the summer usually the temperature does not go higher than around 15 degree C.

Yes, definitely. Unfortunately it is not around the corner for me. But I definitely need to put that on my bucket list: something like a month of motor bike tours combined with hiking and climbing in the Andes….

The place you must visit in The Andes are El Chalten in Argentina, and Torres del Paine in Chile.

I (regretfully) will probably never be able to visit Switzerland. But these photos allow me to enjoy a bit of it from my easy chair without the travel expenses. Thank you for posting them.
